I have known a number of people who, it turned out later, were Jewish. I never suspected, because they fit right in. Yes, I know that there are aloof Jewish sects who refuse to integrate, but my understanding is that the bulk of Jewish people are fully integrated into American society. Yes, they go to synagogue — but Christians go to church without segregating themselves.
Here’s a list of Jewish actors; there sure are a lot of them, aren’t there? Did you know that Harrison Ford was Jewish? I didn’t. Natalie Portman? Gwineth Paltrow? Winona Ryder? Paula Abdul? Helena Bonham Carter? Robert Downey, Jr? Helen Hunt? Adam Sandler? Kyra Sedgwick? Jon Stewart? Ben Stiller? Jean-Claude Van Damme, and many more. I don’t even follow Hollywood junk; these are only the actors whose names I happen to recognize.
“Otherwise, I’m going to have to assume you have a mild case of cognitive dissonance.”
Assume whatever you want. I’m here to discuss ideas, not personalities.
