Ms. Martinchek, you are so consumed with anger that you can’t think straight. Mr. Biden was not declaring a DESIRE to select a Republican; he was expressing his open-mindedness. He is willing to consider any candidate, and would evaluate them on their merits, not their political label. If we apply your closed-minded approach, then we would naturally eliminate Mr. Sanders from consideration for the Democratic nomination, because, after all, he isn’t a Democrat!

Make up your mind: if the political affiliation defines the worthiness of the candidate, then Mr. Biden is wrong to consider a Republican, and Democrats are wrong to consider Mr. Sanders.
