You destroy your credibility when you lie. You start off with this false statement:
“Bernie represents the strongest rival to a Trump 2020 victory.”
The fact that you cite no source for this statement of fact is a dead giveaway that you have no source. Here’s a summary of polls addressing the matter. If you examine it closely, you’ll see that Mr. Sanders almost — but not quite — matches Mr. Biden. He is most certainly NOT ‘the strongest rival to a Trump 2020 victory’.
“Far from what those in Washington believe, the Democratic civil war of the last few years has come to an end, yet new factions have emerged and new battle lines are drawn. Bernie Sanders, AOC, and progressive politics have beat out the same old politics of the 90s.”
I don’t know what you mean by ‘Democratic civil war’, but there’s no question that the greatest factor increasing the probablity of re-election of Mr. Trump is the split between the progressives and the majority of the Democratic party. Progressives consider other Democrat supporters as no better than Republicans. Your own essay bristles with contempt for Democrats who aren’t progressives:
“more “palatable” figures like Elizabeth Warren”
“alienated college “educated” white liberals.”
I suggest that you do a bit more research in preparing your next essay.
