“You seam awfully sure that Biden will not do those things. What makes you so certain?”
From his past behavior. He has never done anything remotely like the outrages that Mr. Trump has committed. I agree with you that he has never been much of a leader nor has he ever taken any bold positions. He’s about as exciting as oatmeal. But that also makes him a lot less dangerous than Mr. Trump. I emphasize a point I have made many times: Mr. Biden was my second-to-last Democratic candidate.
“The thing is very simple: I don’t trust Biden and it’s all about trust.”
I don’t think that Mr. Biden is untrustworthy. Again, I agree that he doesn’t seem to have much to offer in the way of new ideas. He strikes me as the classic machine politician: no real principles, but sensitive to the public mood and always calculating how to translate that mood into policies that can be finagled through Congress.
I’ll try a rather bloodthirsty analogy to compare the styles of Mr. Biden and Mr. Sanders. Moving through the woods and discovering an enemy machine gun position, Mr. Biden would abandon his original plan and make a wide circle around the machine gun. Mr. Sanders would charge straight into the machine gun. Mr. Sanders is a man of principle. 🤪
Good night to you! 😀
